These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the File + mobile application
(package name com.fileplus.filab, the “App”) provided by FILab Platform Service, LLC
(“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
1. About File +
File + is a file manager for Android devices. The App helps you browse, organize, open, share, and protect files on your device and on storage services you connect, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and FTP. The App may also support torrent downloads and built-in file viewers depending on your device and version.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least the age required in your jurisdiction to enter into a binding agreement, or have consent from a parent or legal guardian, to use the App. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the App complies with applicable laws in your location.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial purposes (unless we agree otherwise in writing).
You may not:
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the App except as permitted by law
- Rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or distribute the App
- Remove proprietary notices from the App
- Use the App to violate any law or third-party rights
- Interfere with or disrupt the App, its servers, or connected services
Open-source components. The App includes third-party software under separate licenses,
listed in the App under Settings and Licenses. FFmpeg 6.0 audio decoders are licensed under the
GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1, and are linked as a separate native library
(libffmpegJNI.so). GPL code, non-free code, and LGPL version 3 code are not included.
You may replace that library as the LGPL allows. That permission does not apply to the rest of the App.

4. Free Features and File + Premium
Core App features are free. File management, viewers, security tools, cloud and FTP access, and phone malware checks are available without a subscription.
File + Premium is an optional Google Play subscription that removes advertisements. One subscription covers one Google account on up to 3 devices. Phone and TV share Premium. You can cancel anytime in Google Play.
5. Subscriptions
Subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing. When you subscribe to File + Premium:
- Payment is handled by Google under Google Play’s terms and policies
- The App may ask you to sign in with Google before you subscribe
- We receive confirmation of whether Premium is active so we can disable ads
- Premium follows your Google account and can be used on up to 3 devices, including phone and TV
- The subscription renews until you cancel it in Google Play
- Prices, taxes, trials, and available payment methods are shown by Google Play at the time of purchase
Refunds and billing disputes are handled according to Google Play refund policies. For purchase issues, you may also contact us at hello@filabcorp.com, but Google Play remains the merchant of record for payments.
6. Advertising
Unless File + Premium is active, the phone app may display third-party advertisements (such as through Google AdMob). Ads help support free access to App features. Ad content and targeting are provided by ad networks under their own policies. You can limit personalized ads in your Android device settings. An active Premium subscription stops in-App ad display after Google Play confirms it.
7. Your Content and Responsibilities
You retain ownership of files and content you store, open, or manage through the App. You are solely responsible for:
- Your files, downloads, uploads, and shared content
- Compliance with copyright and other laws applicable to your content and activities
- Credentials, passwords, and security for your device, cloud accounts, FTP servers, and file locks
- Backups of important data
The App processes files locally on your device or through services you choose to connect. We do not monitor your files and are not responsible for content you access, store, or transmit.
8. Third-Party Services
Cloud storage, FTP, torrent networks, Google Play, AdMob, and other integrated or linked services are operated by third parties. Your use of those services is subject to their terms and policies. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, including availability, data handling, outages, or changes to their APIs or pricing.
9. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the App to:
- Upload, download, or distribute unlawful, infringing, harmful, or abusive material
- Access systems, accounts, or files without authorization
- Distribute malware or interfere with networks or devices
- Circumvent security, licensing, or payment mechanisms of the App or third-party services
10. Intellectual Property
The App, including its software, design, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by FILab Platform Service, LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding except as needed to use the App as intended.
11. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT DATA WILL NOT BE LOST. FILE OPERATIONS, CLOUD SYNC, DOWNLOADS, AND SECURITY FEATURES MAY FAIL DUE TO DEVICE, NETWORK, OR THIRD-PARTY FACTORS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FILAB PLATFORM SERVICE, LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE APP OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP OR IN-APP PURCHASES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $10.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FILab Platform Service, LLC from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
14. Changes, Suspension, and Termination
We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and may provide notice through the App or other reasonable means. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We may suspend or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.
